The helicopter carrying ousted Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak to hear the verdict in a trial over his alleged role in killings of protesters landed at the court on the outskirts of Cairo on Saturday, state television images showed.

If convicted, the 84-year-old former president could face anything from a few years in jail to the death penalty. State media reported that other defendants, standing trial with Mubarak, arrived at the court earlier.
