Jacob Maroga was in his office at Eskom today, but it was not clear whether it was to clear his desk, or to continue his work as chief executive officer.

Last week Eskom chairman Bobby Godsell said he had resigned with immediate effect, but the ANC Youth League and the Black Management Forum didn't accept this, insisting he had not.

An aide in Maroga's office said he was there and could not immediately take a call as he was on the line with someone else.

BMF managing director Gaba Tabane had earlier advised phoning Maroga's office at 9.30am, insisting there was no resignation.

Asked if he would be at work, Tabane said: "Well, I hope he will."

Eskom's media desk did not immediately reply to an e-mail and spokesman Andrew Etzinger said he had no knowledge of new developments.

I doubt if he'll resign - he'll wait for the right golden handshake.
It's "show me the money" time!

And, of course, your racist greedy selfserving nepotic pale pinkies are utterly disappointed with that. How can a black executive earn so much and still do not jump out when pushed to do so?

OK, so 6 months prior to the rolling blackouts that started a level of disquiet about his performance he received a report from an outside consultant that highlighted an impending crisis. The report singled out appalling management of coal stocks in particular. His response? Immediate action? An investigation? Taking the report to government and asking for urgent intervention to get scarce skills in place? Nope. He quashed the report, dismissing it as racist and fired the consultant. Super.
Bobby Godsell (the damn racist) is by all acounts (and the impression I got from meeting him a few times) a man of extraordinary vision and integrity. He stands accused of driving a racist plot to oust Maroga. He recused himself from the (predominantly black) board's deliberations on the Maroga issue. He has constantly defended Maroga from public anger at his handling of Ek'sdom and personal remuneration.
But he is a racist.
And Maroga is a victim.
Astounding.

He must return to the office of course, he is not the only one responsible but the government must effectively seen to be involved. Hogan is symphathetic to the board of corrupt racists at Eskom Board. She must be removed and investigate Eskom Board in Arivia.kom sale to T-System. Everything changed to favour T-Systems even though T-System has no single black executive, senior manager or manager for that matter. T-System is having two customers but the initial condition was that it must have 5. T-System is tiny and is not even make profit. Arivia.kom is more bigger than T-System and Arivia.kom is making profit more than double that of T-System. Investigate and prosecute Eskom Board members.

BMF is one hell of a crazy organisation, 1st they said Maroga doesn't deserve a golden handshake coz he resigned due to his incompetence and now they are driving him back to work, so now he is no longer incompetent like they said before.WTH is this, this doesn't make sense...

Read the Mail and Guardian story on this one - a total incompetent that is not suitable for the job he is holding.

Always amazing that when this type of thing (incomptence of the hihgest order) comes to the fore the defence is always racism and then the incompetent is retained to cause more damage.
