Petrol going up 27c a litre

The retail price of petrol will rise next week, the energy department says.

The price of all grades of petrol would increase in price by 27 cents a litre. The wholesale price of diesel with a 0.05 percent sulphur content will rise by 25 cents a litre.

Diesel with a 0.005 percent sulphur content will increase in price by 26 cents a litre.

The wholesale price of illuminating paraffin will rise by 29 cents a litre and the single maximum national retail price for illuminating paraffin will increase by 39 cents a litre.
