Pienaar has worked in the financial services industry since 1984.

Since 2006, she has managed her own business, specialising in the application of employment legislation and HR practices at financial service providers. In 2007 she focused on practice development, working through a specialist service provider in that field with advisors and consulting with independent brokers.

She has a BA degree and a MPhil in advanced labour law.

  • Sizwe Africa IT Group has hired Moss Gondwe as sales director. Gondwe brings 34 years' experience to the company and plans to help grow Sizwe's asset base through sales and mentorship.

He has a strong background in sales and has worked with Rank Xerox, SA Breweries and IBM, as well as T-Systems, Microsoft, Sars and Oracle SA in products and services, and in directorships and senior executive capacities.

  • The Mineworkers Investment Company (MIC) has appointed Mary Bomela as an executive director.

Bomela has been an MIC non-executive director from June 2008 to June 2010.

She was previously the chief financial officer of Freight Dynamics, and prior to that, was an executive in the corporate services division of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants. She has also held executive positions in the resources, media, utilities and financial services sectors.

Bomela is a chartered accountant and holds a BCom (Hons) in financial management from UCT and a BCom (Hons) from the University of Natal. She holds an MBA from the University of Pretoria and the Gordon Institute of Business Science.

Her focus will be on new investments and management of MIC's investment portfolio.
