Barely two months into the screening of M-Net’s soapie, "The Wild," top acting couple Connie and Shona Ferguson are rumoured to be quitting.

Sunday World reports that the married couple tendered their resignations shortly after two producers resigned from the show.

Last year Connie dropped a bombshell, when she revealed she was leaving popular soapie "Generations."

Her hubby Shona followed suit, announcing he was leaving e.tv’s "Scandal." Thereafter they both joined "The Wild."

Sunday World quotes sources as saying the news of Connie and Shona’s departure has been kept secret. Only cast members and producers know of it.

“She doesn’t keep it a secret. Everyone knows she’s going back to Generations,” the source is qouted as saying.

"The Wild" has been hit by a number of problems. Actor Tony Kgoroge was dismissed from the show after he refused to sign a letter of intent.

His gripe with the contract was that it didn’t address the issue of royalties.

Kgoroge was quoted at the time saying his contract meant that if The Wild had reruns or was licensed overseas and made millions of rands, its actors wouldn’t receive a cent.
