An emotional and heartbroken Young Nucho took to the studio in the early hours of Sunday to record a new song called I'm Not Wayne, addressing rumours of his ordeal with his idol, US rapper Lil Wayne's entourage.

Antonio "Young Nucho" Kalembe, 20, visited The Times yesterday to set the record straight on talk that he had been klapped during an altercation with Lil Wayne, who on Monday night wrapped up a three-city tour of South Africa .

Local and US entertainment gossip websites were abuzz with speculation about what Kalembe had done while visiting the Hush nightclub in Rosebank, northern Johannesburg, to upset the 29-year-old four-time Grammy award winner.

Kalembe has denied talk of an altercation, confirming only that club owner Stephan Cohen had urged him to visit neighbouring club Latinova instead because Lil Wayne's manager, Cortez Bryant, was unhappy with his presence.

On Monday, Hush publicist Melanie Ramjee said Lil Wayne and Canadian rapper Drake - who was also in the country - were at their hotel when the incident occurred, not at the nightclub.

The Angolan rapper is now working on a video for the song, in which he urges Lil Wayne to "have respect for Africa".
