When Grammy winner Jill Scott started tweeting in Zulu this week, it might have been a hint that she has been added to the line-up of next month's 13th Cape Town International Jazz Festival.
The 39-year-old American singer, who is no stranger to the continent - having been in Botswana and South Africa previously to promote the Botswana-based TV series The No1 Ladies' Detective Agency - will join an already impressive list of superstars on the bill.
On Twitter, Scott had been throwing around phrases like "Nilale kahle" (sleep well) and "ngiyabonga kakhulu" (thank you, ever so much) - and before long her account was trending on the social networking site after users began asking if she was going to be visiting the country soon.
The festival is on March 30 and 31 and will feature musicians including Dave Koz, Dorothy Masuku, Herbie Tsoaeli, James Ingram, Marcus Miller, Zahara, Lindiwe Suttle, Zakes Bantwini, Zamajobe, Hugh Masekela, Pharoahe Monch, Ill Skillz, HHP, Allen Stone and Patti Austin.
