Dreamworks Animation and Chinese partners say they will co-produce the next “Kung Fu Panda” and jointly develop an entertainment center in Shanghai.

The deal announced Tuesday adds to fast-growing ties between Hollywood and China’s film industry.

Dreamworks and its partners said “Kung Fu Panda 3” will be produced in China and released in 2016.

They said the planned entertainment center in Shanghai, valued at more than 20 billion yuan ($3,2 billion), will include cinemas, theaters, restaurants and tourist attractions.
