Johnny Depp to produce TV series based on Shakespeare works
Johnny Depp is set to produce a TV series based on the Bard's most famous plays, according to a report.
Deadline.com said that the piece remains scant on details but reveals that the series will be based on some of the plotlines and characters from Shakespeare's most famous works. Scriptwriter Randall Fontana will be tasked with adapting them for a modern audience.
Johnny Depp is partnering with Tom Fontana, the creative mind behind hit TV series Borgia, Oz and Homicide, as well as Swedish production company Yellow Bird (the original Millennium movies).
Depp is currently shooting The Lone Ranger, which he is also producing via his company Infinitum Nihil (Hugo, Dark Shadows).
