Cape Town and Ballito will be hosting The Samsung Galaxy New Year’s Eve Live City Linkup, which will feature the global ambassador of house music; Pete Tong.

The event will be powered by 5FM and brought to you by G&G Productions.

Pete Tong will be performing in Ballito and Cape Town on the same night with the performances being broadcast to each other at the venues so party-goers can experience the atmosphere of two parties at once.

A host of top local DJ’s will be performing alongside Tong in both cities giving EDM fans a feast of entertainment. Spinning the decks alongside Pete Tong at the Ballito Street Party will be Veranda Panda, 5FM’s Gareth Cliff, Spin Doctor, 5FM’s Euphonik and 5FM’s Fresh as well as a host of other local DJ’s.

After Pete Tong has finished performing in Ballito, he will then be whisked off in a private jet to Cape Town where he will be headlining the NYE Live City Linkup at the V&A Waterfront Rooftop alongside musicians including Roger Goode, Dean Fuel, Nick Supply, Protoculture, Riot Squad and Broken Toy.

The event takes place on 31 December 2012 at Ballito’s New Year’s Eve Street Party at The Village Centre (5pm to 5am) and the Waterfront Rooftop Party, V&A Waterfront, Cape Town. (7pm to 4am).

  • The V&A Waterfront in Cape Town is expecting high volumes of people on the 31st of December 2012. It is recommended that people make use of the MiCiti service. This is not only in the interest of road safety after festivities but also due to limited parking available at the V&A Waterfront. MyCiti has extended its service on the day and the last bus will depart at 1:00am on the 1st  of January 2013. People can also park at the CTICC and use the water taxi to get to the Waterfront.
