Sensation Innerspace dance experience coming to South Africa

Times LIVE | 08 May, 2013 09:27

On Saturday September 7, 2013, the world’s leading dance event will make its long-awaited debut in Africa.

Together with Samsung, Netherlands based ID&T is bringing Sensation to South Africa.

After successfully producing more than 80 Sensation shows worldwide, attracting more than a million visitors in over 20 countries since 2000, the famous ‘Innerspace’ show is coming to the Coca-Cola Dome in Johannesburg.

Now for the first time – and for one night only – South Africa will have the chance to experience the sheer size and scope of the Sensation ‘ Innerspace’ spectacle and be part of this unforgettable dance phenomenon.

“Every year Sensation tours around the world with different show themes under the premise ‘Be part of the night, dress in white’. With Innerspace, Sensation embarks on a special mission for unity: offering a spiritual and spellbinding journey inside the human mind, presenting the crowd with an interactive show full of dazzling show elements.

Through this personal journey, Sensation intends to reach deeper into the soul. It’s an unforgettable experience unlike anything South Africa has seen before,” says Michael Hekking, Marketing and Commerce Director of Sensation.

G&G Productions is the local promoter that has worked for four years to secure the exclusive rights to bring Sensation ‘ Innerspace’ to South Africa.

Sensation ‘Innerspace’ will adhere to the all-white dress code that marks every Sensation show.

This tradition was, sadly, born from a tragic event: When co-founder and CEO of ID&T Duncan Stutterheim lost his brother Miles in a car accident in 2001, all visitors were informally asked to dress in white for that year’s show.

More than 80% of the visitors adhered to this tribute and this marked the birth of the well-known Sensation dress code as we know it today.

Patrons not dressed in white from head to toe will not be allowed into the venue.

Official tickets go on sale May 16, 2013 at 10am through www.sensation.com, www.computicket.com (including Computicket outlets) and the G&G Productions Facebook page: www.facebook.com/GandGSA.

An exclusive ticket pre-sale will be launched on May 10, 2013 at 10am, ending on May 15, 2013 at 11:59pm. During this period tickets may only be bought using a special pre-sale code, which is obtained by registering for the exclusive pre-sale on www.sensation.com/south-africa.

Registration for the Exclusive Sensation Pre-sale is open until May 9, 2013 at 11:59pm.
