Muse’s frontman Matt Bellamy has revealed that the band's new album will be ready for release “next summer", and it will be heavy.
Responding to fans on Twitter, the singer said that the album would be "heavy" and that recording sessions are "going well".
Responding to @Cylux, @MattBellamy said: “yes, going well. We hope to have it ready for next summer.”
User @Tanb013 said: “@MattBellamy So, are you sticking to your "going back to guitar/drums/bass" or was that just Matt being a tease?”
He responded: “yes. It's gonna get heavy.”
Muse came under much criticism from fans for their past two albums, The Resistance and The 2nd Law being too electro and overly processed.
The band had revealed previously that they would be starting work on the follow-up in May 2014.
Bellamy previously said that he has a strong feeling that the next album should be something that really does strip away the additional things that the band has experimented with on the past two albums.
This will be Muse’s seventh studio album.
