British soul singer, house vocalist, and songwriter, Omar Christopher Lye-Fook will be headlining a picnic under the skylight in Newtown on November the 15th.

The British crooner simply known as Omar has a wide dance and soul music discography, and will churn out some of his most well-known songs such as his debut single There's Nothing Like This and popular house As long as you believe that he did with the Layabouts.

The picnic will run into the evening with local Neo soul artists  MXO, The peppercorns, Khethi and her AfroTwist, Nomisupasta, Vusi Nova, Kabomo, Wanda Baloyi, hosted by Lebo Mashile to also add her poetic feel to what promises to be a soulful experience.

Omar earned an MBE, and learnt his craft classically, playing the trumpet, piano and drums, making it into the county’s youth orchestra as principle percussionist, followed by two years at Music College in Manchester.

Tickets are available at Computicket varying from R250 for general access tickets to Golden Circle R350. VIP in a Hospitality Area will sell for R650 each.

Don't forget to bring your picnic blankets, camp chairs and food. Beverages will be sold at the venue.
