Paul Rosolie, a naturalist and wildlife filmmaker, has made a custom-built snake-proof suit that he will test when he is eaten by an anaconda, all to document what it’s like to enter the belly of the beast.

The show has already been criticised by animal welfare organisations and activists who are concerned about the well-being of the snake.

Rosolie took to Twitter in response to the criticism, saying: “If you know me - I would never hurt a living thing. But you'll have to watch #EatenAlive to find out how it goes down!”

According to the Daily Mail,  the Discovery Channel hasn’t addressed the concerns and still has a page promoting the show on their website.

Eaten Alive will air on Discovery on December 7 and we’ll know then if either the snake or the person make it through this experiment unharmed.
