Chris Brown fans will have to fork out an average of R1,166 per ticket to see him perform live during his 'X' album promotion tour in 2015.

The ticket prices to see the R&B and Grammy winner are considerably higher than when he first visited South Africa for his Carpe Diem tour in 2012. Brown brought his tour to Johannesburg and Cape Town and tickets were priced at R490 to R890, an average of R690.

The new ticket prices amount to an increase of R476. This time around, R&B enthusiasts will have to cough up between R750, R1,250 and R1,500 for Golden Circle. Durban ticket prices are slightly less expensive with a Golden circle ticket costing R1,100.

In comparison ticket prices to see Jill Scott who performs this weekend are set at R390 to R1,020, while John Legend ranged from R225 to R1,195.

Brown will perform at the Coca Cola Dome on Thursday, 2 April 2015 and the Moses Mabhida Stadium People’s Park on Saturday, 4 April 2015.

Several people took to Twitter to voice their dissatisfaction about the prices:  @SbuDaBuddist tweeted: Chris Brown concert ticket prices,  is homie like gonna transform into Beyonce on stage? @i4inno said: "no Chris Brown tickets are expensive I'd spend dat on Beyonce no1 else yhuu aai".

Their sentiments were shared by @CulpritEnter who tweeted: U not gonna go alone to a Chris Brown concert. So GC is R3000?! Moer! with @C_Badu chirping up:  R1250 for general access?! Kanye's concert charged R1000 for Golden Circle. Who's Chris Brown to Yeezus?
