One of the fired 'Generations 16' is set to appear on our screen in yet another one of the beloved soapies on South African television.

According to TV Plus, Seputla Sebogodi, who played Kenneth Mashaba on Generations, is moving to e.tv soapie, Rhythm City.

He is expected to make his first on-screen appearance on Wednesday 18 February.

His character is Solomon, a former convict who becomes a wealthy and respected businessman, reported City Press.

Sebogodi was among the 16 actors dismissed from SABC 1's Generations last year over wages and other grievances they brought to the attention of the soapie's creator, Mfundi Vundla.

Rhythm City is on at 18:30 on e.tv.
