Rapper Lil Mama tries to make a comeback with new video, Black Twitter tells her to stop it

Poor Lil Mama. 

The rapper just released a brand new video called Sausage (don't judge a song by its title) and, well, Black Twitter is being super mean about it. The song is a bit of a mess direction-wise (it seems to jump between different sounds at the drop of a hat), and the lyrics are a bit weird, but guys, Lil Mama can actually rap. 

That's what makes this new video so sad: the artist who had a promising career and seemed like a trailblazer for young female rappers a decade ago is now trying so hard to be like everyone else. 

She's Ciara, she's Mary J Blige, she's Nicki Minaj, she's DMX... We can't deal. We were so willing to give the video a chance until it hit the 1:56 mark and suddenly Lil Mama was Mary J Blige - voice, look and all.

It's bloody weird. Then she becomes Gaga, and Rihanna and... ugh.
