Game of Thrones leads the nominations for the 67th annual Primetime Emmy Awards with a staggering 24 nods. The fantasy drama series has the most chance of triumphing at the forthcoming ceremony thanks to its huge number of places on the shortlists - including being up for the coveted Outstanding Drama Series prize alongside Better Call Saul, Downton Abbey, Homeland, House of Cards and Mad Men - with American Horror: Freak Show and Olive Kitteridge following behind with 19 and 13 nominations respectively. As Game of Thrones has an ensemble cast, it didn't have any nominations in the Lead Actor or Actress categories, but stars Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey and Emilia Clarke are up for supporting role prizes.Elsewhere, The Big Bang Theory was a surprise omission from the Outstanding Comedy Series category, leaving Louie, Modern Family, Parks and Recreation, Silicon Valley, Transparent, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Veep to fight it out for the prize. The nominations were announced by Cat Deeley and Uzo Aduba, and both stars are also in the running for awards.Deeley is up for 'Outstanding Host of a Reality or Reality Competition Program' for her presenting of So You Think You Can Dance - which is also up for Outstanding Reality Competition Program - while Aduba is in the running for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.Andy Samberg will host the 2015 Primetime Emmy Awards at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on September 20. 2015 Primetime Emmy Awards list of selected nominations:Outstanding Drama Series:Better Call SaulDownton AbbeyGame of ThronesHomelandHouse of CardsMad MenOrange Is the New BlackLead Actor in a Drama Series:Kyle Chandler, BloodlineJeff Daniels, The NewsroomJon Hamm, Mad MenBob Odenkirk, Better Call SaulLiev Schreiber, Ray DonovanKevin Spacey, House of CardsLead Actress in a Drama Series:Claire Danes, HomelandViola Davis, How to Get Away With MurderTaraji P.
