After releasing his new album art cover for his latest offering, 'Pieces of Me' - Black Coffee and his team have been accused of blatantly copying American artist and soul singer, Ledisi's 2011 album of the same name.
Black Coffee, real name Nathi Maphumulo dropped the album art for his latest project on Twitter a few days ago.
Titled Pieces of Me, the album's name and art work are exactly the same as singer Ledisi's. Her album was released four years ago and garnered three nominations for at the 2012 Grammy Awards.
Soon after showing off his album, Twitter fans were quick to congratulate him on its creativity but moments later, some saw the similarities to Ledisi's album.
A statement ensued by Amaru Da Costa of Soulistic Music who said their team was looking into the issue.
Maphumulo's album furore follows that of Ricky Rick who released his debut album, Family Values featuring a similar pose to that of US rapper The Game.
Kwaito musician L'Vovo Derango was also caught up in a copyright mess with his Heavyweight album which looked like JayZ's American Gangster art work.
