Actor Nkululeko Tshirumbula, who holds Sowetan Mzansi’s Sexiest Man 2015 crown, has left Muvhango to join SABC’s flagship soapie 'Generations – The Legacy,' the show’s publicist Gaaratwe Mokhethi confirmed.

Mokhethi confirmed the news to Channel 24 and said Tshirumbula’s acquisition will add value on the soapie.

According to the report, the 25-year-old actor has already started shooting on the Generations set on Tuesday. He handed in his resignation from Muvhango last month.

Mokhethi, however, did not mention when the hunk, who plays Gundo on Muvhango, will start hitting our screens.

"Nkuli has a steady rise in the entertainment industry and we are pleased to have him form part of the Generations – The Legacy family," said Mokhethi.

Tshirumbula will join Kabelo Moalusi, who plays Siya, as Zola’s other son Vuyo.

"I’m ecstatic and nervous at the same time to be joining a new family, reaching new milestones, but most importantly I’m grateful for the opportunity to grow as an actor," Tshirumbula said.
