New king of Afrosoul Nathi Mankayi is hopping mad at Arthur Mafokate after the king of kwaito used his name to woodwink fans into attending his botched music festival.

The Nomvula hitmaker nearly blew his top when he saw his name on posters promoting Mzansi Arts & Heritage Festival, which was being promoted by Mafokate’s company, the Sunday World reported.

According to the report, the festival was supposed to be held in Free State on Saturday, September 26.

"I was not happy to see my name on posters of an event that I was not booked to perform at. When I don't pitch at events, the fans will not blame the promoter but me," Mankayi told the tabloid.

Mankayi, whose debut album Buyelekhaya has sold over 100 000 copies so far, told the paper that his bone of contention was that he was not booked for the event and yet Mafokate’s company included his name on the posters promoting the festival.

However, Mafokate hit back, saying “I'm sorry to say this but his management is using him as a puppet.”
