Veteran actress Sophie Ndaba has confirmed that she will make a much awaited return to the small screen early next year.

Ndaba, who is popularly known as Queen Moroka in the soapie Generations, was among 16 other soapie cast members who found themselves unemployed at the end of last year after they were axed for participating in an illegal strike.

Speaking to Move magazine, as reported by Channel24, the 43-year-old Ndaba said: “I'm very excited about two projects that should be on screen next year. I have a prominent role in one. If you loved Queen, you'll love her, but I really can't say much more about it."

"Some of us women who have been working with the SABC for a long time, have had support of the SABC in producing some content for them,” she said.

Ndaba has been away from the limelight since her exit from Generations over a year ago.
