American hip-hop star Swizz Beatz has showed his appreciation for our very own Black Coffee, not only mentioning him in a post on Instagram, but also showing a copy of his album Pieces of Me.
Taking a video of himself listening to a track from the album, Swizz says “This new Black Coffee album is crazy,” before lifting a copy of the album for his 1.3 million followers to see.
The post received over 200 comments from fans, all applauding our guy for getting the nod from one of hip-hops most respected producers and artists.
So, what does this kind of shoutout mean for Black Coffee? Well, besides having the support of Swizz, it’s important to note that he is married to Alicia Keys.
Alicia has strong ties to Jay Z and Beyoncé, amongst others, and with sources telling us that Black Coffee is quickly “building relationships with high-profile people in the American music industry” and is “working on some very important deals” we have no doubt that 2016 is going to see some big announcements from the KwaZulu-natal born artist.
