Former Miss SA Liesl Laurie survives car accident

Former Miss South Africa and current Miss World Africa Liesl Laurie is recovering after being involved in a horrific car accident

TMG Entertainment understands that Liesl was hospitalised after smashing into a truck in front of her.

"She is very shaken up and was in hospital," her publicist Jarred Doyle confirms.

It's believed she was travelling on the N1 near Midrand when the incident occurred.

Sunday World is reporting that her car was badly damaged and she had to crawl out the window to escape.

"She is at home now and is recovering," added her pr.

Liesl has been mum on the incident and it's understood that she will be taking a short break while recovering.
