Queen B was in Nigeria recently and spoke about her sense of style and how her mom influenced her.

If you follow Bonang Matheba on social media you'll know that she was recently in Nigeria. Not only did she go from gig to gig, she also spoke about her sense of fashion and what inspires her to slay, like, all the time.

"My mom instilled a good value in me: When you leave the house you never know who you are going to meet. It could be your future husband or you enemy."

Speaking to Pulse Nigeria, she says that she grew up in a house that was filled with very "well put together women" and together with her aunts and her mom, they inspired her to always look good.

B says that her mom always made the point that cleanliness is next to Godliness. "I fell in love with my image and then created a brand around it. Fashion is a language we all understand and if you are going to conquer the African continent and you are not going to do it through music or football why not do it through fashion?"

Speaking about her love for Nigeria, Bonang explained the new name on her social media accounts, Adebimpe.

"It's a Nigerian name that a friend gave me. It basically means the crown is complete. Everyone at home calls me Queen B  - the queen of the entertainment industry. So it's a perfect fit."

Yaaas kween. You tell them!
