Idols SA judge and reality TV star Somizi has opened the can of worms on weaves. Taking to his Instagram account, Somizi admitted that he too was concerned about why black women wear weaves.

But after thinking about it, and saying that he sided with Hugh Masekela on the weave debate, Somizi did a u-turn, explaining that other countries also do things that "we have."

"Other nations are doing other things that you black girls have. Like they do bums. Bum operations and you don't need to because you have it."

Somizi, who often creates debate with his videos on his social media account, spoke about the issue in a one minute clip on Instagram.

He also said that in other countries they have created a "bzzzz" saying "you know what I'm talking about" but we don't use that because our "black brothers are zzzz."

If you still don't understand what he is talking about, check out his video below. In essence his message is clear: black girl, wear that weave with pride.
