This comes after Khanyi served legal documents to the website over the reports, which she has fiercely dismissed as "fake" and a "smear campaign" against her.
The website issued an apology to Khanyi and Lucky Dube's family late on Monday evening.

The statement went on to add that after an internal investigation the person responsible for the story has apparently been dismissed.

"I received the apology and I thank them for coming to their senses. But in all honesty though mud-slinging and slander is damaging, and it is a big problem with social media at the moment. It needs to stop as humanity is becoming extinct," Khanyi told TMG Entertainment.
Khanyi added that the spreading of such lies has a damaging effect on people, their families and jobs.
"A little joke may be damaging to families, people's jobs and relationships. It takes a retweet to help fuel a fire of lies but if we don't retweet nonsense we will win this war of disgust."
