While the 'blesser' trend - sugar daddies showering women with an awful lot of expensive gifts - takes South Africa by storm, Somizi believes it has cast a shadow over the success of hard working women.

Taking to Twitter, Somizi called out the differences of how success is defined and experienced by men versus how it is for women.

Typically falling along stereotypical gender lines, the singer and choreographer questioned why young women are said to have 'blessers' when they're able to afford and purchase "a mansion or merc," as opposed to a young man who will be labelled as a ''hard worker'' when he does the same.
