Local musician Zakes Bantwini is set to share the stage with some of the biggest names in world when he performs at the prestigious Essence Music Festival in New Orleans, America next month.
Zakes, who was previously earmarked for the event, this week put pen to paper on the deal that will see him perform at the festival, held in the city from June 30 to July 3.
Posting a picture of himself signing his contract, Zakes wrote that he hoped to inspire other's to believe in their dreams.

The 2016 Essence Music Festival will feature a star studded line-up including: Mariah Carey, Kendrick Lamar, Ciara, Maxwell, Charlie Wilson, Tyrese Gibson, Faith Evans and Class Man star Jidenna.
