It seems like veteran actor Darlington Michaels and Isidingo big-wigs have worked out their differences, after the actor quit amid controversy last year.

Darlington, who spent 16 years on the soapie as the character Georgie 'Papa G' Zamdela, was reportedly unhappy with the way he was treated by his employers and quit the show in June last year.

Now, almost a year later, it seems like Darlington and his bosses have buried the hatchet.

In a statement released by Isidingo it has been revealed that the infamous 'Papa G' is set to back on TV screens soon, and will be shaking things up.

Darlington's return forms part of the soapie's plan to add spice to the current storyline by bringing back old favourites.

Another old favourite who will be returning to Horizon Deep is Tshepo Maseko, who plays Parsons Matabane.

Shortly after news emerged that Darlington would be leaving the soapie, he was quoted as saying, he would never return to the show, as he felt "unappreciated."

I had a big problem with them both, financially and emotionally. When I was hit by a stroke (in 2013), I didn't get enough support from them financially. I had to pay my own medical bills which amounted to more than R20 000. My loyalty wasn't appreciated," he told Sunday Sun.
