New ownership has saved Glow TV from being snuffed out.

The  channel was set to face the chop on 30 June due to financial constraints but in a statement this week, it was revealed that it has been taken under new management, allowing it to continue airing.

The eastern-inspired channel will continue to broadcast on its existing platforms on DStv, OpenView HD and StarSat, with plans to expand its programming from August.

The new owners, Nismedia Group, said that it was drawn to the channel because of its confidence in the brand.
