It seems that South Africans are not the only ones who can't get enough of DJ Switch's hit track, Now or Never.

The DJ has apparently received enquiries from Malawi, asking if he would consider releasing a remix of the track featuring Malawian artists.

Switch revealed the request on social media this week, uploading part of an email containing the request sent to producer Gemini Major.

Switch responded to news of the request with excitement.

"Shit is out of control #humbled #NowOrNeverRemix praises to the most high! S/o to my homie @geminimaejor #worldwide #continentaldrift," he wrote.

He caused a frenzy last week when he released a remix of his original hit, featuring the likes of PRO, Zakwe, Blaklez, Reason and Proverb.

Besides trending, the remix also split local hip-hop, with fans debating who gave the best verse.

But the remix has not come without controversy. Several weeks ago, female MC Patty Monroe took to social media to voice her displeasure at no female rappers being featured on the track, believing that gender might have something to do with the exclusion.

Switch responded to this by claiming that he had reached out to female rapper Rouge to be on the track and that the final line-up was selected by fans.
