Elon Musk and Amber Heard are 'just friends'

It seems there's no truth to the rumour that SA-born businessman Elon Musk is romancing Johnny Depp's estranged wife, Amber Heard.

The billionaire owner of Tesla was rumoured to have been dating the actress after the pair were reported to be spending a lot of one-on-one time together.

The rumours were further fuel recently when they were again spotted together in Miami. According to New York Post's Page Six the pair were allegedly spotted coming in and out of each other’s rooms over the course of four days.

But sources have told People magazine that they are not an item, but just close friends.

"Amber and Elon are friends and have been for a few years," a source said, before explaining that they had run into each other after "their work schedules overlapped in Florida."

They had been spotted spending time together in L.A prior to this.

Amber has made headlines over the last few months over her messy divorce from actor Johnny Depp, accusing him of being "verbally and physically abusive" towards her.

Meanwhile, Elon is also dealing with his own relationship woes, after filing for divorce from wife Talulah Riley for the second time. The pair divorced in 2012 before remarrying a short while later.
