Award-winning kwaito group Big Nuz have hit back at event adverts claiming they will be performing at an upcoming IFP rally.

The group had been advertised as a headline act at the IFP’s Sizonqoba campaign rally to be held at Ulundi Stadium in KwaZulu-Natal this coming weekend.

But the group are not happy with the advert and have taken to social media to notify fans that it is false.

With local government elections set for next week, political parties are wrapping up their election campaigns with one last push this coming weekend.

Several of these parties have previously hired local artists to perform at their rallies in order to draw audiences to their events, sparking debate on whether an artist's performance at these events is an endorsement for the party.
