The area was rocked by a devastating tornado, leaving dozens of people injured and hundreds of homes destroyed.
While emergency services and task teams assessed the damage, DJ Shimza took to social media to offer his support to victims of the tragedy.
In a post on Wednesday, he called on fans and followers to join him in rebuilding some of the shacks that were destroyed in the tornado.
"Those of you who are available tomorrow, please can we meet at Boisantha in Tembisa tomorrow at 9am to go and help those who were affected yesterday, just helping them rebuild the shacks," he wrote, while also encouraging those who were not available to spread the message.
He returned to Instagram on Thursday to post a picture of the devastation the group found.
"(These are) some of the homes affected by the tornado in Tembisa, out here helping where we can to help rebuild," he wrote.
Other local celebs, including DJ Sbu and gospel singer Winnie Mashaba, have previously urged fans and followers to pray for those affected by the tornado.
