Actress and radio personality Thando Thabethe is set to take her annual Women's Day Netball Challenge to new heights in an attempt to raise awareness about women abuse.
The annual challenge which has become part of Women's Month will focus on inspiring women to 'take back your power.'
"The goal is to reiterate the power and potential that women have. We have seen how women have single handedly headed their households, how they have managed to become leaders in industries that are male dominated and continue to thrive in this heteronormative society," said Thando.
The actress encouraged women to share their stories with her to be selected to attend a seminar hosted by key speakers including Sophie Ndaba, Lillian Dube and Thando herself.
"Please share with me how you took back your power. Eight stories will be selected and the women will get to spend 6 August with Thando Thabethe and other industry pioneers," read a social media statement.
The seminar will focus on issues affecting women including women abuse, sexism in the workplace, and building confidence in young women.
