Kalawa Jazmee's Candy dismisses engagement rumours

Singer Candy Mokwena from Kalawa Jazmee has poured cold water over reports that she is engaged, however, admitted that she is currently in a relationship with someone.

This comes after Move! reported that Candy is set to walk down the aisle with a local businessman, known only as Tom. According to the local publication's sources, Tom proposed to the Kalawa Jazmee singer in June this year and will be soon tying the knot.

"Tom proposed last month and she greed to be his wife. Right now, Tom's elders are preparing to go to Candy's family for lobola negotiations," an insider told Move.

However, speaking to TMG Entertainment, Candy quashed the speculations, saying her main focus at the moment is her career.

"That is not true. Right now, I'm just working on promoting my new album. My career and brand are main priorities right now. Also, I'm focusing on my children's organisation, Tsa Mandebele Foundation," she said.

Candy further admitted that she's in a relationship at the moment, but has no plans of getting married anytime soon.

"There is someone very close to my heart, but I don't like speaking about my personal life in public," she revealed.
