Nomzamo Mbatha and Minnie Dlamini join Power FM line-up this women's month

As part of its annual #987Woman campaign, Power FM has roped in a number of influential women, including TV personalities Nomzamo Mbatha and Minnie Dlamini, to join the station's line-up this women's month.

Listeners will enjoy the influential voice of African Union Chairperson Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma who will make her debut as a presenter on POWER 98.7.

Felicia Mabuza-Suttle will be travelling all the way from Miami to reconnect with South Africans on the airwaves. Minister of Science and Technology Naledi Pandor and Public Protector Thuli Madonsela, who both featured in the 2015 line-up, are back by popular demand, while former radio talk show host Jenny Cryws-Williams is set to make a Power FM debut.

"We pride ourselves with a unique ability to offer a platform for listeners to engage with our leaders in all sectors of society," said POWER FM's station manager Mpumelelo Mkhabela in a statement.

He added that the radio station's line-up over the next month will be a "festival of ideas, exhibition of talent filled with lots of laughter and surprise."

The line-up also includes various women from the business sector.

The media and entertainment industry will be represented by BBC’s Lerato Mbele, CNBC’s Nozipho Mbanjwa, Independent Newspapers’ Karima Brown, Nomzamo Mbatha and Minnie Dlamini. The line-up will also feature some of the station’s regular listeners.

#987Woman aims to celebrate South Africa’s women leaders in their respective spaces while displaying their dynamism beyond what they are publicly renowned for.

As guest presenters, these women will share their perspectives on amongst other things, leadership, work, fun and family to showcase their individual personalities.

The full line-up is yet to be announced.
