Popular US singer Toni Braxton says that her son has won his battle with autism and now shows "no signs" of the condition.

The Un-Break My Heart singer made headlines two years back when, in her memoir, she claimed that God had given her son Diezel autism as punishment for her having an abortion.

But it seems her son's condition has changed and he now no longer shows signs of the disorder.

Speaking to Access Hollywood Live this week, Toni said that she was lucky to receive advice after she started speaking publicly about her son's condition.

"I'm one of the lucky parents. Early diagnosis changes everything. My son Diezel was off the spectrum being autistic. (Autism activist) Suzanne Wright, who unfortunately just passed, she called me immediately and said, 'Get him in this programme, do this, do that'. She's been an advocate and helped me so much; I miss her already, I can't believe she's gone," Toni said.

She added that since her family began getting Diezel into programs to treat the condition, he has been able to beat the disorder.

"Our lives have changed. He has no signs of autism. He's our social butterfly... I'm very, very fortunate... He's doing pretty wonderful. I'm pretty proud of him," she said.
