Riky Rick was the talk of town after his performance at Oppikoppi over the weekend.

Not only were fans in awe of his talent, Riky himself couldn't believe what was happening.

Taking to Twitter after his performance on the main stage, Riky remembered how he had gone through tough times and how his friends, including Cassper Nyovest, were there to help him.

"Still tryna understand how we went from being sidelined our whole lives to @oppikoppi main stage... PRAYER CHANGES. I'm 29 now. At 25 I got an ordinary job and forgot about music. Lucky @CassperNyovest pulled me away from my office and said lets HUSTLE. Then I moved into my baby momma flat and got sober. All I had was R50 & a drum machine. She was paying for EVERYTHING I needed. EVERYTHING."

The hip-hop star has previously spoken of his friendship with Cassper, but this time elaborated, saying that a lot of people in the industry just want to use you.

"The problem is that the rap game is filled with snakes that wanna feed off your juice... These the niggaz you will learn to keep away from. Me and @CassperNyovest have been through serious ups and downs. Thats what friendships do. Never get it confused. THATS MY BROTHER...Ever since we linked up with Mabala ALL your favorite rappers calling the office tryna hustle a deal  ... Niggaz are so quick to follow."
