SA films continue to make an explosion overseas, with another flick set for an international debut at a popular foreign film festival.

It was announced this week that local film, Vaya, will get its world premiere at the Toronto Film festival to be held next month.

The film, which weaves together three stories of people who have experienced homelessness, will become the latest SA film to be featured at the festival. The film stars Mary Twala, Sihle Xaba, Zimkhitha Nyoka and Warren Masemola.

"Pleased to announce that Rififi Pictures latest film VAYA will have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. It's been a journey of 8 years," Akin wrote in a post on Wednesday.

The film is set for a South African release later this year.
