It's the show music lovers have been waiting for. Coke Studio season 2 airs on 27 August and to celebrate there had to be a fab party, obvs.

Each week Coke Studio brings together artists from across Africa to come up with original material. All in 48 hours. That means they have to write, produce and perform their hits in two days. No pressure!

This season promises to be better than ever with collaborations from the likes of AKA and Nigerian star Patoranking, Cassper Nyovest and Tanzania's Diamond Platnumz and Nasty C with Buffalo Soulja.

The show has been hailed by critics as promoting local music and ensuring that lesser-known artists are given the opportunity to not only work with well known musicians, but also the chance to show their craft on a major musical platform.

To celebrate the start of Coke Studio season 2, a swanky party was held in the heart of Sandton where guests were treated to performances from some of the talent on this season of the show.

Looking radiant in red, Nandia Madida, hosted the event. She's also the host of the show along with DreamTeam's Trey Sineke.
