Singer Speedy has, once again, opened up about his love for Americans, because he believes "they acknowledge and appreciate their legends," as opposed to South Africans, who only "pretend to care" about their legends once they have passed on.

Taking to Instagram on Monday afternoon, the singer sang America's praises, saying that shows such as BET Honors - an awards show which honours the lives and achievements of African-American luminaries - served as a reminder as to why he "loves and appreciates Americans".

"They acknowledge and appreciate their legends while they are still alive," he said of US citizens, before comparing them to South Africans, who, he claims, are the direct opposite.

"Meanwhile here in South Africa we're all about gossip, ignoring and destroying each other," he lashed out.

Speedy further asserted that people in the country only celebrate SA legends after they have passed, adding that they "pretend to care".

This is not the first time that Speedy has had a go at South Africans.

In a lengthy Instagram statement a few months ago, Speedy claimed that people were jealous of him and had tried to block him from being a success.

"It's funny how some people get mad when they can't come and live lavish with you. There are people who die inside every time they catch a glimpse of your happiness. There will always be people that try to block or stop your music from being heard, simply because they are scared and never expected you to still be this consistent, it's called jealousy," he wrote.
