DRAMA! Siyakha Tshayela booted off Idols SA for 'contract' issues

Siyakha Tshayela has been withdrawn from Idols with 'immediate effect' after a dispute between herself and an independent recording company. In a press release sent by M-Net on Thursday night it said that contestant on the show are required to sign an exclusive recording deal with the Idols-appointed label when they enter the show.“On the 1st of August‚ Ms Tshayela informed us that she had entered into discussions with an independent recording company before entering Idols‚ but she maintained there was no contract in place. The recording company insists there is‚”reads the statement.It's understood the discussions between all parties were held but there was no resolution. M-Net then made the decision to have Siyakha removed from the show.“Due to conditions stipulated by the Idols format rights holder‚ we are unable to continue with a contestant that is currently involved in a legal dispute of this nature. Ms Tshayela is therefore not able to continue as a contestant‚” M-Net said.Siyakha has proven to be one of the most popular contestants on the show with her name often topping the Twitter trends list...
