Have God at the centre of your marriage, says cricket star JP Duminy

South African cricket star JP Duminy and his wife Sue have quickly become a source of inspiration for many. Not only because JP excels at his craft, but because they serve all kinds of relationship goals.

Now, in an interview with Inspired Women, the couple say that they make sure they don't put their marriage first, but rather God.

"The first and most important thing in our lives (yes before our marriage) is our relationship with God. If I am not OK with him, I cannot be OK with my husband.  My whole being, my soul, my character stems from God," Sue told the publication.

The couple married in 2011 after dating for just over two and a half years. The tied-the-knot at a swanky wine estate in Cape Town that was attended by fellow crickets stars.

They welcomed their first child together last year and fill their social media accounts with posts of their adorable family.

JP says that the secret to a happy marriage is ensuring that God plays a central role.

"Having God at the center of your marriage and know that your foundation is rooted in him.  In my experience it is having a selfless mindset and understanding each other and giving each other the freedom to grow as individuals," he told the publication.
