Cassper Nyovest says he is not about that flexing life anymore.

Speaking to Slikour recently, Cassper explained why he has stopped showing off his jewels and his riches, claiming that he wants to be known for more than what he owns.

"I'm doing everything that I can not to distract people from who I am. Posting my Bentley makes you think of me as the Bentley driver more than the artist. That's why I don't post my stuff anymore. I realised that I was starting to sell a lifestyle and I'm trying to tone it down now," he said.

  • Anele Mdoda calls out Audi SA over 'no car' for Caster Semenya Outspoken radio personality Anele Mdoda has taken aim at Audi South Africa, questioning the car company over why Caster Semenya was not gifted with a car.

Cassper says he was caught up in "new money" and was "going crazy" with it.

Now, he says, he would rather move in relative silence.

He points to Black Coffee as an example of how to deal with fame and money.

"Black Coffee has got three crazy cars...It's so crazy to look at Black Coffee's cars and see him not post the stuff on Instagram. Bro, if I drove an SLS, you would never hear the end of it," Cassper says before bursting into laughter.

  • The word death didn't even cross my mind, says Letshego Zulu about Gugu's final moments In a telling interview with Anele Mdoda on Real Talk Gugu Zulu's widow, Letshego relived her husband's final moments before he died.

It's a surprise about-turn for Cassper, who just a few months ago filled his social media pages with pictures of new expensive cars, jewels and watches.

At the time, he told fans that he would never stop bragging about money, and posted a Snapchat video of himself collecting his "cheques".
