This follows a week-long #DataMustFall campaign, spearheaded by Touch, which has been enjoying massive popularity on social media since its inception.

Shortly after unveiling the campaign, the radio personality revealed that he was invited by Parliament to present his case in front of the ICT committee.

Since then, Touch has called for supporters of the movement to join him in Parliament on Wednesday, and to also send in their suggestions to include in his address.

Speaking to TMG Entertainment last week, Touch explained that the founding of the campaign was inspired by the the challenges faced by young people, especially students, when it comes to accessing information due to high data costs. He asserted that young people are "always broke" and can't afford the incredibly high costs.

"Young people should be able to enjoy the benefits of e-learning by downloading textbooks online or catching up on a lecture on Youtube, but they can't do that because everything revolves around data and wifi," he said.

Touch gave all cellphone networks 30 days to make a change, and also called on the chairman of Icasa to intervene.
