The mother of Jim Carrey's late ex wife claimed to have found proof that the Hollywood actor gave her daughter STDs.

Jim has been hit with wrongful death lawsuits over the suicide of his former girlfriend, Cathriona White, with her mom Brigid Sweetman and estranged husband Mark Burton claiming she took her own life after he gave her three sexually-transmitted infections - accusations he has denied.

Brigid said in a statement on Thursday: "These documents show that Jim Carrey has lied to the media, the public and the court. Carrey has now been shown for what he is – a dishonest Hollywood celebrity who thinks he can say anything and fool people just because he is famous.

"I am going to make sure that the world learns the truth about what Jim Carrey has done and the many lies he has told about my daughter, me and our family."

  • Hollywood star Jim Carrey sued for wrongful death of his girlfriendActor Jim Carrey is facing charges of wrongful death and drug violations after his late girlfriend's husband accused the Hollywood star of giving her the painkillers she used to kill herself a year ago.

The tests apparently show that Jim, who allegedly took the test under the name of 'Jose Lopez,' has Hepatitis A, Herpes I and II, and Chlamydia.

Brigid's lawyer Michael Avenatti wrote in the declaration. "Unbeknownst to Ms. White at the time, Carrey underwent a blood test for STDs on January 28, 2013 at the lab Quest Diagnostics under the false name 'Jose Lopez.' The results, which were reported to Carrey on or about January 31, 2013, under specimen [redacted], show that Mr. Carrey tested positive for Hepatitis A, HSV (Herpes) I and II, and Chlamydia."

  • Mom accuses Jim Carrey of giving her daughter herpes 1, herpes 2 and gonorrhoeaThe mother of Jim Carrey's ex-girlfriend, Cathriona White, has announced she is suing the actor over the death of her daughter and claimed he gave her three sexually transmitted diseases.

Jim Carrey's lawyer has since hit back at the latest claims.

"This is just another desperate attempt by the attorney after Cathriona White’s own family distanced themselves from this sham lawsuit yesterday. These distortions and false statements by the attorney do a disservice to Cathriona’s memory and to the truth.

"Cat White’s biological mother, Brigid Sweetman acknowledged in writing that she received death threats because people believed she was responsible for Cat’s death."

Meanwhile, the star took to Twitter on Thursday to share a message about facing tough challenges.

"When you stand solidly with those who bring love and goodwill to the world, every challenge makes you stronger, deeper and more creative," he wrote.
