Fans celebrate new Drake album due in December

Great news Drake fans! Just ahead of his 30th birthday, the rapper announced that he's delivering a new album in December.

Drake shared the big news while hosting Sunday night's episode of OVO Sound, a radio show on Apple's Beats 1.

"I’m off like mixtapes, I want to do a playlist," said Drake.

Entertainment Weekly reported Drake gave extensive details about the new album.

"I want to give you a collection of songs that become the soundtrack to your life, so this More Life: The Playlist. Like I said, dropping in December. All original music from me. You might hear some tunes from the family on there, but I’m just really excited," he continued. "I had a great tour, I had a great summer. And most people, I guess, would like go probably take a break. But for me I just want to get right back to it. Be with the people again."

Drake, whose milestone birthday is Monday, didn't stop there, playing four new tracks from More Life for fans: Two Birds, One Stone; Sneakin; Wanna Know (Remix) andFake Love.

He released the cover art shortly afterward.

 

Fans immediately took to Twitter to celebrate More Life, which saw the Hotline Bling hitmaker topping the trends list.

Drake's last album, Views arrived in April to huge success. In July, it was named the top-selling album of 2016 so far with 2.6 million equivalent album units sold since April, according to Nielsen Music's mid-year report.
