Sfiso Ncwane died in his wife's arms, says family

As the nation grapples to come terms with the death of gospel star Sfiso Ncwane, it has emerged that his wife, Ayanda was by his side until the end.

Sfiso died on Monday morning after being rushed to hospital on Sunday night, where he was treated for kidney problems.

The gospel star was admitted to Fourways Life hospital where he was diagnosed with kidney failure, and was later moved to ICU.

As friends, fans and colleagues struggle to accept the news, his family have released a statement detailing his last moments.

"He unfortunately took his last breath at 9.30 am on Monday morning in the presence and arms of his loving wife Ayanda Ncwane," read part of the statement.
